A little kitten is snuggled under the quilt in bed.
When Lori said "quilt as desired", I chose to quilt it with concentric squares to keep the quilting from taking away from the pattern of the quilt. It was easy to make, and I thank Lori for all of her little quilt-a-longs. I love them, as I they are so much fun to make. Here's a picture of the back, showing the quilting; and the triangle hanging corners. Triangles are added because I may want to hang it on a wall sometime.
I'm linking up with Design-Wall-Mondays, to see what everyone else is working on. (Here)
What a sweet little quilt! I really like the doll bed, too. I've been tempted to start collecting doll beds, but so far I've resisted, although I do have one or two.
ReplyDeleteI started collecting doll beds, but have resisted adding any more. I have about five, I think. Thanks for your comment. I really enjoyed meeting up with you Saturday, and will blog about your quilt show later this week.
ReplyDeleteDarling little quilt, and I'm so glad you used the Gwen Marsden method. I forget sometimes its OK to do that! Your little kitty looks so comfy, all snuggled up under the quilt.
ReplyDeleteYou gals are lucky - I've never even seen a doll bed!
That turned out so sweet! I like the blue outer border that brings it all together with the center block. yay!
ReplyDeleteYour center block is a great choice. Love the scrappiness and I cut off triangles too ala Gwen :).
ReplyDeleteI just love this little block--will it grow into a full size quilt? I actually like it the way it is...p.s. cute dolly bed--I am on the lookout for one of those...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful little medallion quilt!
ReplyDeleteIt came out grea! I love the indigo blues in the ceter and border.

Your Faithful is adorable! And you have a little doll bed!! I'm jealous!! I need to find one, as I have made several doll quilts in recent years. Wasn't this a fun quilt-along? I'm already looking forward to Lori's next one!

Beautiful little quilt!
ReplyDeleteI love the mix of fabrics you chose. The center block is darling and I really like how you pulled those colors into the borders.
Very precious doll quilt... love the bright colors! The doll bed is just as precious... what a wonderful collectable!
ReplyDeleteWonderful doll bed! Love your center block, it works really well! Thank you for showing the triangle corners for hanging, perfect for this little guy. Fun to see all of the fabrics, you have some wonderful CW fabrics in there! Nice!!!
ReplyDeleteYour little quilt is wonderful! I love what you said about just cutting off the hst's to make things fit. That is my kind of quilting. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI love this! such pretty colours and cosy looking.
ReplyDeleteI was particularly interested to see the triangles for hanging, I have never seen this before. I was wondering is this just something that works for small quilts?
Your little quilt turned out really cute and looks great on the doll bed.
