Design Wall Monday - January 1, 2018

Happy New Year everyone!  Thanks to all who linked up with a direct link back to the post on December 18, 2017.  Of those who did, the lucky winner is:
Marlene of Coveredinstitches.com!  She  just recently took a quilt down from her design wall that had been up there for two years, and that alone is worthy of a prize.  Marlene, if you would email me your postal address, I will send the Christmas pillow directions in the American Patchwork and Quilting magazine.  Congratulations Marlene!  email me at grandmajudyhansen at gmail.com

I've been working on my Jane Stickle quilt this week, and am finishing up the triangles - I have only 21 more to go.  It's a project started long ago, and 2018 is the year to finish it up.

On my design wall:  The first part of the middle 169 squares that I will be sewing together soon:

And two of my recent triangles.  Left side 10th from the top:

And Left Side, 1st from the top

What is on your design wall on this first day of a new year?  Remember when you link up to provide a quick way for people to link back here to go on to the next wall.   In other words, somewhere within your post today, please include this:

Thank you so much.  2018 is going to be a great quilting year!

  1. love your dear jane blocks and triangles - I made 2 of them some years ago and they do take a long time to work on I think each of mine took 4 or 5 years to complete down to hand quilting them. You will enjoy it when it is done - Happy New Year

  2. Your Dear Jane is working up nicely and will be a treasure when finished. Congratulations to. Coveredinstitche.com on your win. I popped over to your blog and you have some beautiful scrap quilts, twenty five finished quilts is a an admirable goal. My New Years resolution is to quilt/sew more in 2018. Happy New Year all.

  6. Ooh, that quilt is on my wish-to-make list, too! I have the book as well as the EQ software to print out foundation patterns and templates. Maybe YOU will end up motivating ME to actually start that one instead of just dreaming about it!
