IS IT SPRING YET?
Can someone PLEASE motivate me to get my Valentine Quilt final seams finished? Where is my mojo? If all of you would chant in unison...."Go Judy! Go Judy! Go Judy!" in your best cheerleader voices, maybe it would help.
I have only 18 more seams to go, 10 short ones and 8 longer ones. I thought I was taking baby steps to get this project done, but my baby steps have turned into very slow snail steps.
New goal is to complete two small seams or one large seam each day this week. Meanwhile, I've been playing with triangles of scraps. Here are two pictures to show my little tiny progress this week in the sewing room. I took all the triangle shaped scraps, put them together with either plain fabric, or a contrasting scrap, and took them to the sewing machine. I have only two stacks yet to sew.
Then I trimmed the triangles into the biggest size they could be. Here's a picture of some 1.5 by 1.5 sized ones, showing my little ruler and little rotary cutter. I love this little ruler.
What is on your design wall? I hope you have bigger bits to show me this week.
My link up instructions are the same each week. Please link back to this particular post somewhere within your blog post. I appreciate it so much when you do.
When you set up the link, use this web address:

Go Judy! Go Judy! I've read that breaking the task into 15 minute intervals can make it easier to get something done. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGo Judy, Go Judy, go! We know you can do it! I agree with Kate, in those days that I feel I have absolutely no time, I try to give myself at least 15 minutes of stitching.
ReplyDeleteGo Judy Go! I would totally be distracted by those fun triangles too!
ReplyDeleteGo Judy Go!!! And wow! Are those small triangles!
ReplyDeleteGo Judy Go!!! I can't wait to see it finished, I want to make one (my birthday is THE day, teehee
ReplyDeleteGO JUDY GO! YOU CAN DO IT! (and yes, I'm shouting LOUD, hoping you can hear me all the way from the Canadian west coast!) GO JUDY GO! And - bargain with yourself ... you have to sew 3 seams before you can make more triangles ... or ... you can only make 10 - 20 triangles between each seam ... Challenge yourself and you'll soon see it DONE!!
