Triangles, triangles, triangles.....and they are yet too small for the design wall.
Since I make small quilts and doll quilts, people sometimes give me their leftover fabric bits, and I am working on some of them this week. My friend Gretchen Weaver, (Blog) , gave some to me last fall at a retreat. Gretchen is a fantastic quilter, and has just finished hand quilting a wonderful quilt - called "Pastor's Attic". I marvel at her skills!
But back to the triangles: The white triangles with the little sprigs of spring flowers on them that Gretchen handed to me have been matched to some of my stash pink fabrics, and now I am beginning to play with arrangements. The fun begins!
I have a great striped fabric that I'd like to use as sashing, but we will see where the triangles lead me.
What is on your design wall this week?
Thanks for linking up each week for Design Wall Monday! I really appreciate you, and it is so interesting to see what everyone else is working on. My only request is that when you link up that you please provide a link back to this particular blog post somewhere within your post.

Very pretty! You found the perfect match to that plaid. Happy stitching this week.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how you set these little HST's! I look forward to seeing the mini quilt next fall. But maybe it won't be a mini, there were a LOT of those triangles! Love the stripe. Happy Stitching!

Your little triangles are sparkly and fun! I look forward to seeing what they turn into.
ReplyDeleteThose triangles are fun done with a plaid.
ReplyDeleteHi Judy I used your basket quilt top from the retreat as my Design Wall Monday photo and told about it in my blog post. I have made 24 of those little baskets so far and have a few more cut. I love what you're doing with Gretchen's triangles. It was nice to get to visit with you in Shipshewana.
