Design Wall Monday - May 20, 2022

Good Morning Quilters!

Progress has been made on getting the May Day Baskets quilt assembled, and off the design wall.  Here is the progress picture:

The rows are on the diagonal, and I have the right top three together....the middle four rows together, and the bottom left three rows yet to do.  I hope to have the rest of it sewn together by the end of the day.  It is almost finished!

I've been embroidering on the  May Day Basket Doll Quilt, and have four baskets of the eight almost complete.  Here are two pictures:

The baskets are all the same size (around 4 inches square) but the first picture is a close-up.  It's a great take along project for working on in the car, or when I am waiting somewhere.

The Benjamin Biggs Wedding Quilt progress:  I'm working on block number 7, and It is almost ready.  I have a few leaves to applique before it is finished.  I want to get  this project up on the design wall soon.  I am also printing more of the directions from the files saved on my computer.

What are you working on this week?  I am always looking forward to seeing what you are showing us in your Design Wall Monday Linky Party.  Thanks so much for participating.  Please mention our Design Wall Monday Linky Party somewhere within your blog post, and also provide a link back to this post.  I appreciate those who do.

  6. The basket quilt in beautiful. I love blocks set on point, but have occasionally struggled with getting those diagonal rows lined up wrong.

  7. I'm partial to baskets! Your design is coming along wonderfully. I had to look up Benjamin Biggs and his eponymous quilt. (Hmph. His wife's name should be part of the quilt name!)
