Design Wall Monday - July 4, 2022

Good Morning Quilters!  And Happy 4th of July to all Americans!

“Life moves pretty fast.  If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”   Ferris Bueller

Life has been moving pretty fast here lately.  Our cabin was on the market for only five days, and we had an offer - full price.  We are talking to our kids to see what furniture they want, and are preparing for the sale. We are at the cabin right now, and I thought you’d like to see some pictures of it, as I have no quilting progress to show you.

Picture taken showing the lake view and the twodecks:

View of the cabin from the lake (taken by the realtor’s drone)

The porch toward the woods and road.

Living room with deck toward the lake.

Cabin as viewed from the driveway, as we drive up through the woods.

So many great memories here, and more made this weekend as we watched the fireworks display from our dock.  We are filled with all the good times we’ve had here, and we know it will be loved by the new owner.

Join in our Design Wall Monday Linky Party below and we can see what is happening in your life.  Thank you so much for joining in the fun.  Hugs, Judy

  3. Houses are selling fast everywhere! Your cabin is beautiful and you will really miss it but I understand completely the upkeep involved in 2 houses. Maybe you'll have more time for sewing now.

  6. What a beautiful cabin and location! I'm sure this weekend was bittersweet for you. I've dreamed of living on a lake, but it won't happen.

    Happy July 4th!!

  9. Your cabin is beautiful, and what an amazing location! I am not surprised at all that it sold so quickly. It must be bittersweet to be moving on but I can imagine it also feels good to be "lightening your load" of property to take care of and maintain. Hope you're having a wonderful Independence Day Weekend with your family!

  11. My stars! That's not a cabin - it's a mansion in the woods. Beautiful!

  15. What a beautiful cabin. Congrats on the fast sale (well at least the offer!) It's hard to let go but sometimes it is necessary. I have many wonderful memories of going to a friend's cabin on a small lake here in VA. Keep those memories close. Hope for sale goes through quickly and easily.

  16. What a lovely place and surroundings. It must be hard to let it go. I'm guessing you have another home so don't have to hunt for one. I can imagine treadeling on the porch, listening to the birds and the lapping water on the beach, watching for wildlife.
