Design Wall Monday - October 12, 2026

 Good Morning Quilters!

This has been another busy week.  A grandson got married Saturday, and it was a beautiful wedding.  A lovely fall day, with the wedding in a beautiful garden.  Life is very full of happiness right now.

One of my favorite fall quilts is from a pattern named “Third Weekend in October” by Ruth Powers and is of autumn leaves.  The grandson who just got married has this quilt, as he chose it several years ago from my quilts as the one he wanted to keep.  His bride said she thinks their quilt will be renamed “Second Weekend in October” as that is now their wedding anniversary.  Since I’ve not made any progress on my two current projects this week, I’ll include my pictures of their quilt before it was gifted to him years ago.  It was a lot of fun to make.

And a picture of the maple trees in our front yard.  They always put on a great show in October.

If you want to make this Ruth Powers quilt, the pattern is only $8.00 on the internet.  I am tempted to make it again as I miss having it in my house during the fall months.

What have you been working on?  I hope you have been more productive than I have been.

Join our Design Wall Monday Linky Party below, and we can see your pictures and go read your blog posts.  Thank you so much to all who participate.  I enjoy reading your blogs.   Have a great week!

  1. The maple trees do look lovely. The quilt is so wonderful. Best wishes to both of them.

  2. The autumn leaf quilt is lovely! I bet that was a challenge though to keep all those pieces in the correct position. Your trees are lovely, ours are just starting to turn color. Happy stitching!

I am always searching for new ideas and your feedback helps me learn how to do things better. Thanks for stopping by! Note that I am not on the computer daily, so responses to your comments happen when they happen.....I'm 80, and I hope allowances can be made. 😊
