So, I'm sharing what is on mine today. Working on a multi-part quilt too, so I understand the step by step progress and enjoy sharing the journey.Marlene @ KISSed Quilts . comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10325792651992611539noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5483715812459941947.post-57202539218344406702018-01-15T15:08:44.259-05:002018-01-15T15:08:44.259-05:00Your replication of the colors and fabrics in your...Your replication of the colors and fabrics in your Dear Jane seems very good! I have followed several people on their Jane journey and never tire of the sights. I like that you tried to match up with original Jane's fabrics, too. And I even have my glasses on. I bet there aren't any Quilt Police anywhere nearby so I think you're good to go. I'm amazed at the work you have to put in for just one block. I'm just about to the end of my Farmer's Wife quilt, paper-pieced, 105 six-inch blocks. Don't give up and keep chuggin' on!Quilting Nonniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16964800066332039021noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5483715812459941947.post-89786143554456308702018-01-15T11:53:15.735-05:002018-01-15T11:53:15.735-05:00Hi, Judy. I know EXACTLY what you mean about that hint of sadness that comes mixed in with the joy of completing a quilt that you've been working on for a long time. It is like a child's high school graduation, going off to college. Yay, we're done -- but oh, no; that means a childhood is over, a nest is empty, etc. But I'll start a new quilt project much more readily than I'd have another baby at my age! :-) As for imperfections in your beautiful triange: That's one of the things that appeals to me in antique quilts. When we achieve absolute perfection with our modern technology, it can almost result in a quilt that appears mass-produced rather than handmade. I love your block, but I can relate to perfectionism, too.Rebecca Gracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14801489818836195754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5483715812459941947.post-55151421226111395632018-01-15T09:52:11.466-05:002018-01-15T09:52:11.466-05:00That makes total sense to me! I often slow down at the end of making a special quilt because I don't really want it to be over!Quilter Kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16870660916547202929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5483715812459941947.post-91437023954933890012018-01-15T08:41:36.818-05:002018-01-15T08:41:36.818-05:00Dear Jane quilts are a lot of work, love seeing th...Dear Jane quilts are a lot of work, love seeing the process having made two myselfKaren - Quilts...etc.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07293429657903986492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5483715812459941947.post-17649783925955754042018-01-15T07:27:17.833-05:002018-01-15T07:27:17.833-05:00Congrats on all the progress with the two setting ...Congrats on all the progress with the two setting triangles.
