Design Wall Monday - April 10, 2023

Good Morning Quilters!

Easter Sunday was so wonderful this year!  The church was full and the music and the sermon were such a blessing to me.  Here are a few quilty pictures for you to enjoy this Easter week.

My lily quilt was one of the first quilts I made.  Blogged about it (Here). I turned the fabric edges under and appliquéd them down, and also did embroidery button hole stitching around each piece.  I probably would do one or the other now, but not both.  It won a ribbon at the county fair quite a while ago.

The second quilt is my thirties era reproduction fabric baskets.  Each basket is filled with little circles and leaves.  It is out on our stairs railing near the front door every spring.  It is so cheerful!

Two friends gave me Easter lilies.  They smell so lovely.

It has been a great Easter.  I hope you have had a great week too, and are ready to join in our Design Wall Monday Linky Party.

Spring is finally here and it makes me so happy.  And when I’m happy, I quilt!   How about you?  I hope you link up below and show us what you are doing.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

  9. I need to figure out how to border my 30's fabric quilt now. I looked closely at yours, and like the S 'n' S blocks, and the piano keys. My pattern is Gyleen Fitzgerald "wish upon a star" (free at AQS) so the center will be about 31" X 41" and I'd like it to be at least big enough to cover a person. Ideas for me? I make art quilts usually, for wall...
