Good Morning Quilters!
Easter Sunday was so wonderful this year! The church was full and the music and the sermon were such a blessing to me. Here are a few quilty pictures for you to enjoy this Easter week.
My lily quilt was one of the first quilts I made. Blogged about it (Here). I turned the fabric edges under and appliquéd them down, and also did embroidery button hole stitching around each piece. I probably would do one or the other now, but not both. It won a ribbon at the county fair quite a while ago.
The second quilt is my thirties era reproduction fabric baskets. Each basket is filled with little circles and leaves. It is out on our stairs railing near the front door every spring. It is so cheerful!
Two friends gave me Easter lilies. They smell so lovely.
It has been a great Easter. I hope you have had a great week too, and are ready to join in our Design Wall Monday Linky Party.
Spring is finally here and it makes me so happy. And when I’m happy, I quilt! How about you? I hope you link up below and show us what you are doing.
Your Lily quilt is so beautiful! The basket quilt is still on my list but I have to finish Hearts & Wreaths first. Happy stitching!
ReplyDeletebeautiful quilts- perfect for Easter and Spring
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts are perfect for spring. I can see why the lilies won a ribbon, it's really gorgeous. Happy stitching this week.
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful Easter here, too. Your lily quilt is lovely -- but, oh, those baskets are a delight!
ReplyDeleteYour quilts are so beautiful, and definitely say Spring Is Here. We had our family Easter on Saturday so they could go to the in-laws yesterday. It was a really good day.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these quilts are amazing! I[m so glad you had a lovely Easter.
ReplyDeleteBoth of those quilts are so lovely, but I'm especially drawn to the baskets one. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteOhmy goodness - those quilts are gorgeous!!! and they are so perfect for spring and for Easter!! what gorgeous lilies!!!
ReplyDeleteI need to figure out how to border my 30's fabric quilt now. I looked closely at yours, and like the S 'n' S blocks, and the piano keys. My pattern is Gyleen Fitzgerald "wish upon a star" (free at AQS) so the center will be about 31" X 41" and I'd like it to be at least big enough to cover a person. Ideas for me? I make art quilts usually, for wall...
