Good Morning Quilters!
I just got home from a quilt retreat. Each time I go, I work on blocks for a Jane Stickle quilt. I cut the book “Dear Jane” apart, and have each of the book’s block picture by each of my blocks. I am a little over half way making the 169 blocks for this quilt. Here are the blocks I completed at the retreat:
The blocks finish at five inches each. Since I got this UFO out to work on at the retreat, I think I will leave it out and work on it some more. I am re-inspired. Yeah!
Several ladies attending the retreat are each making the same quilt, Cousin’s Walk. I have been struggling to finish mine up. Here are pictures of some of the ladies and their versions of the quilt. Each quilt has a charm of its own.
What is on your design wall this week? Mine is empty, but I will be inspired by your pictures. Thank you so much for participating in our Design Wall Monday Party. You are a blessing to me.

I enjoyed the quilts in the hallway display this spring, they are all lovely!
that is the mystery of quilting....one pattern done so very many different ways and all unique...very very nice every one
Your Dear Jane blocks are looking good. The hallway show is pretty impressive. Both those patterns are not short term projects, you've done well to have a bit done of each.
Making a Dear Jane is called a journey for good reason! I like the display of the Cousin's Walk blocks, too.
Your Jane Stickle blocks look fantastic! Are you making the pieced blocks by hand? I love the display of Cousin's Walk blocks too.
The Cousins' Walk quilts in progress are all looking beautiful--such a lovely pattern...Your Dear Jane blocks are really pretty--so small--such nice work on these hugs, Julierose
I've always been amazed when I see Dear Jane quilts. Wow! So much work! Your blocks are looking lovely. All the ladies have beautiful blocks.
Good for you to cycle round to the Dear Jane blocks again. I sure understand motivation and lack of it! Hopefully this time you'll get another good bunch done. They are lovely. Fun to see all the interpretations of Country Walk(?) I hope that is the right name. Have a quilty week.
Oh, Judy -- I was so excited to see your Jane Stickle quilt blocks in today's post because I've been contemplating whether and when to start one of my own. I love the idea of taking the Dear Jane book apart and using the pages to keep your beautiful blocks organized. Each one is like a little treasure. I am looking forward to seeing more of this project as you progress with it. And I'm glad for you to have such a nice group of quilting ladies doing retreats together. It must be especially fun when multiple ladies are working on the same project.
Love all the applique! I have the yen to do one,and even the pattern and supplies. Now to get started. So, I love the Dear Jane blocks. I have about 10 done; I think. What technique are you using: paper piece, applique?
