Design Wall Monday - March 11, 2024

 Good Morning Quilters!

This week two more blocks were completed for my Cousin’s Walk quilt.  I now have 18 finished and 10 more to do.

Here is a picture of the original quilt, to refresh your memory.

The borders are all different amounts of busyness and I’m planning to make them more cohesive and probably will eliminate the part where the two vines run off the middle of each side of the quilt.  I’m going to start on borders next.  It is such a whimsical quilt.  It will be fun to work on just flowers and leaves.

Here is a picture of Penny Lane, resting on her bow tie quilt.  Happy Monday everyone!

Thanks for the great participation in our Design Wall Monday Linky Party last week.  I am looking forward to seeing your pictures and posts this week.  I appreciate you.

You're making good progress with your cousin's quilt. How many more blocks do you need to applique? Happy stitching!

I like the colors you choose for your birds. Are you sticking with those colors for the border?

Your bird blocks are coming along nicely. I'm amazed at the variety of background fabric you have. I need to acquire such a variety of light fabrics. But I probably will be good and not -- just cause I have a ton of fabric already and it is beginning to overwhelm me. Penny looks comfortable on her bow tie quilt. Does she have a bowtie to wear for formal events?

I love all the different greens! I really like how the border vines run off the quilt in the middle - it's so whimsical and makes me smile that the vine grows off the quilt randomly and not symmetrically!
