365 Challenge Quilt Blocks Progress

Here's the block I worked on today for the 365 Challenge Quilt:

It has 45 pieces and finishes at 3 inches square.   It reminds me of the old joke about the definition of a quilter:  A person who cuts fabric into little pieces and then sews them back together again.  It sure is fun though.

What is on your design wall today?

It's Monday, so i'm linking up with Design Wall Mondays over at Judy Laquidara's blog:  (Here)

The whole 365 Challenge quilt layout can be seen here:  (Here)

Wow, that's quite an undertaking. Looks like it will be a beautiful quilt.

I had thought about making up the blocks for the 365 quilt... but, got hung up on the *thought* of all those tiny pieces... and wondered, even.... HOW do you plan to quilt it?...with all those seams/intersections?? I got overwhelmed with just thinking and never put to action.... so... how WILL you plan to quilt it?

I haven't thought about the quilting yet, but it will be quilted by a long arm quilter, and I would think it would lend itself to a very simple lineal quilting design. What do you think?

I'm too new to quilting to understand what quilting stitching looks good... but - I will sure be watching to see what yours looks like! Must be exciting. :-)

I like the colors you used. I am a pink and brown combo fan. I have not seen many people still working on the 365 blocks. Myself, I never started.
